Kendo club software, no-belt-needed
Kendo doesn't use coloured belts — rank is tracked by kyu and dan number alone. Most club software treats this as a missing belt list. Club Forge gets it right.
Kendo is the only one of the five disciplines on Club Forge that doesn’t use a coloured-belt system. Rank is by kyu and dan number, recognised through the British Kendo Association and the wider international kendo federations. Most martial-arts SaaS assumes belt colours, which forces kendo dojos into a workaround from day one.
Club Forge handles kendo’s no-belt convention natively. Rank is shown by kyu/dan number and grade name — no fictional belt colour, no awkward placeholder.
Rank without the belt fuss
Kendo’s seven kyu (sokyu through ikkyu) and the dan grades from shodan upwards are pre-loaded. The UI shows rank by grade name and number — no belt colour swatch, no “please pick a placeholder” prompt.

Junior kendoka, tracked properly
Junior kendoka often grade through the lower kyu ranks at a different pace from adults, and some clubs use intermediate markers for younger members. Club Forge supports a configurable junior progression alongside the standard kendo ladder.

Check-in built for the dojo door
Kiosk mode sits by the door for PIN check-in, family check-in, and a short student portal. It auto-locks after each session — designed for shared use, not personal use.
